Jamie Rhodes first became interested in photography in 1991 while attending Louisville Male High School.He developed his skills largely on his own throughout high school and college. Jamie attended Bellarmine University, serving as photo editor of The Concord, the student newspaper, for all four years. He began free-lancing in 1996, working for various news organizations. 

Jamie continued to free-lance part-time for five years while working in several photography-related jobs before deciding to free-lance on a full-time basis in 2000.  His images have appeared in various publications around the world.  His client list includes The Associated Press, The Cincinnati-Inquirer, The Courier-Journal, Intel, The L.A. Times, Louisville Magazine, Reuters, Sports Illustrated, The Thoroughbred Times, Transport Topics, and USA Today.  Jamie has served as one of the three official photographers for The Kentucky Derby Festival since 2002. In September of 2006, Jamie took a position at Norton Healthcare as their full-time staff corporate photographer.

Jamie has a passion for photography that permeates throughout his work.  He has a knack for catching the minute details and emotions that make each event unique.
